Montreal, January 16, 2025 • The Montréal Roses continue their commitment to building a strong, local team by proudly announcing the signing of Noémi Paquin, a talented forward from Varennes, Québec. This significant addition was made possible thanks to the support of FASKEN, a founding partner of the club and a key player in realizing our vision for women’s soccer in Montreal.
Noémi boasts an impressive track record filled with achievements and accolades. During her collegiate career at Florida International University (FIU), she quickly became a standout player, scoring 15 goals and delivering 4 assists in just 20 matches. Her outstanding performances earned her numerous honors, including C-USA Player of the Year, C-USA Offensive Player of the Year, and C-USA Tournament Offensive MVP.
Her dominance on the field didn’t stop there: she was named C-USA Player of the Week for five consecutive weeks and was ranked 39th in TopDrawerSoccer’s Top 100 NCAA Players. Thanks to her talent and leadership, FIU clinched two major titles: the regular season championship and the conference tournament.
“Noémi is an exceptional player: fast, intelligent and with remarkable vision. Her time in Florida has shown her to be a real goalscorer, capable of adapting to any situation. Whether with or without the ball, her runs are well thought-out and efficient. We're proud to welcome her to the Montréal Roses, and we'll do everything we can to help her develop and shine on the pitch.”
Marinette Pichon, Sports Director of the Montréal Roses.
“Returning to Québec is the perfect opportunity to launch my professional career in an environment where I feel a deep connection. From the very first discussions, I was convinced by the club’s organization and the energy surrounding this project. This club is driven by passionate and committed people. Joining the Montréal Roses was an obvious choice: to grow and contribute to the development of women’s soccer, right here, at home.”
