The Montréal Roses today announced the appointment of Hugues Léger as club president, effective September 8. His arrival marks a new stage of growth for the organization.

Léger brings more than 20 years of experience in executive, marketing and business development roles, primarily across consumer goods, media, and sports and entertainment. His career has taken him through every part of the sports ecosystem: advertisers and commercial partners, media and broadcasters, and both professional and community sports organizations. He has served as General Manager of TVA Sports, Chief Marketing Officer of CF Montréal, and, since 2022, Executive Director of Tennis Montréal, where he led significant growth for the organization.

“From day one, our ambition has been to make the Roses a benchmark in professional women’s soccer, in Québec and internationally,” said Isabèle Chevalier and Jean-François Crevier, Co-Founders and Owners of the Montréal Roses. “Hugues Léger shares that ambition, and he has worked on every side of the sports ecosystem: with commercial partners, broadcasters and professional organizations. He brings the exact experience we need to take this next step forward.”

“It is a privilege to join the Montréal Roses,” said Hugues Léger. “The club carries a bold, unifying vision, and I intend to put all my experience at the service of the players, the staff, and our community. Together, we will continue building a strong, sustainable, and high-profile organization. My mandate is to give this project the resources for long-term success so our players can perform at their highest level. What we build behind the scenes today will define what we see on the pitch tomorrow.”

The appointment of Hugues Léger comes during a period of sustained growth for the organization. In recent months, the club has welcomed world-class talent to its roster, secured a major multi-year partnership with Desjardins, and announced a landmark match at Stade Saputo on August 29, set to host the largest crowd in Northern Super League history.
