ROSES DEFENDER JOINS CONGO FOR THE APRIL INTERNATIONAL WINDOW
The Montréal Roses confirm that defender Olivia MBala has been selected by Congo DR for the FIFA Series 2026™, taking place in Thailand from April 9th to 16th as part of the FIFA international window.
Congo will play a match at Ratchaburi Stadium in Ratchaburi:
- Sunday, April 12th: Nepal vs. Congo
- Wednesday, April 15th: Match to be determined based on the results of the group matches played on April 12.
This marks MBala’s first call-up to the Congolese national team.
Originally from Scarborough, Toronto, MBala joined the Roses in July 2025. She returned to Canada after making more than 100 professional appearances in France’s first and second divisions, including with LOSC Lille, one of the country’s most recognized clubs.
MBala will be absent from the Roses’ training camp for the duration of the tournament and will rejoin the team upon her return. The Montréal Roses 2026 season kicks off on April 25th.
The club wishes her the very best with the Congolese national team.
