Montréal, January 14, 2025 • The Montréal Roses continue their mission to repatriate local talent and proudly announce the arrival of an exceptional new player: Mégane Sauvé, a strong, inspiring winger who will join the team for the Northern Super League’s inaugural season. This signing was made possible thanks to the support of FASKEN, founding partner of the club and key supporter of our vision for woman’s soccer in Montréal.

At 26, Mégane is returning home after having made her mark in the Campeonato Nacional Feminino, the Portuguese women’s top-level soccer league. She crossed the ocean in 2023 to join the ranks of the Valadares Gaia FC and, until just recently, was playing with Lisbon’s Sporting Clube de Portugal, with whom she won the Supercup.

“Mégane Sauvé is a versatile player who can play both defence and attack, which adds great tactical flexibility to our team. Her technical mastery, vision of the game, and ability to remain calm in decisive moments make her a complete player.

With the experience she acquired in Lisbon and her remarkable performances, particularly with the Clube de Portugal, she represents a real added value for the Roses. We are thrilled to welcome her and look forward to seeing her share her energy and talent with the team.”
