NSL CHAMPION JOINS ROSES FOR 2026 SEASON
Montreal, January 13, 2026 - The Montréal Roses are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Lisa Pechersky, who joins the club following an impressive season with Vancouver Rise FC.
The 27-year-old Ontario native was a key contributor to Vancouver’s 2025 campaign, appearing in 27 matches (26 starts) and recording 4 goals and 4 assists across 2,243 minutes as the Rise won the inaugural Northern Super League Final.
Pechersky arrives in Montreal with extensive international experience. She won the Toppserien title with Norway’s Vålerenga in 2023 and previously played for PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands), KIF Örebro DFF and Vittsjö GIK (Sweden). She began her professional career with Lidköpings FK in Sweden’s second division in 2021.
A graduate of the University of Memphis, Pechersky earned All-ACC Second Team honours and four consecutive Academic All-Conference selections while completing her degree in Health Studies. At Memphis, she was teammates with Roses co-captain Tanya Boychuk for three seasons. A product of the Woodbridge Strikers in League1 Ontario, she also represented the Ontario Provincial Team at the U14-U16 level.
“Lisa brings an experience we were looking for,” said Marinette Pichon, sporting director of the Montreal Roses. “She won a title in Norway, she played in several of the best leagues in Europe, and last year she helped Vancouver reach the NSL Final with consistent contributions. Technically, she’s precise, she reads the game well, and she’s going to bring dynamism and creativity.”
“When I first spoke to the club, it was clear to me that Montreal’s ambition, goals, and values aligned with mine and that this was a project I really wanted to be a part of,” said Pechersky. “I’m really excited to get started, show the fans an exciting product on the field, and do everything I can to help bring a championship to Montreal.”
Following this transaction, the Roses now have 20 players under contract for the 2026 season. In the Northern Super League, teams can carry between 20 and 27 players, with a salary cap of $1.6 million per club. Each club has eight international roster spots.
