CLUB STRENGTHENS TECHNICAL TEAM AHEAD OF SECOND SEASON
The Montréal Roses announced today the coaching staff and technical team that will guide the club through its second season in the Northern Super League.
Under the leadership of Sporting Director Marinette Pichon, supported by her assistant Adrien Moufflet, the sporting department has retained its core while bringing in new additions. The result: an expanded and strengthened group around head coach Robert Rositoiu, who guided the Roses to the playoffs in their inaugural season while building a distinctive playing identity and establishing the league’s best defense.
“Continuity is important to us. The core of our coaching staff returns, which allows us to build on the foundation established in 2025,” said Marinette Pichon. “The new faces we’re welcoming bring fresh perspectives and expertise that will enhance the way we work. We have the right people in place to take the next step.”
Coaching Staff
Rositoiu is joined again by assistant coaches Maryse Bard-Martel (First Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach) and Antoine Guldner (Assistant Coach, Mental Performance Coach and Performance Culture Lead), both returning for a second season.
Francisco Vela joins the team as Assistant Coach. Vela brings over 20 years of experience in Quebec soccer, including five years as Technical Director at AS Blainville and a stint as Technical Director at Association régionale de Soccer Lanaudière. Most recently, he led the Nomades men’s program at Collège Montmorency in RSEQ Division 1, where he won two provincial titles and led the team to the National Championship three times. Vela has also coached at the National High Performance Centre and worked with Quebec provincial teams.
“Having the right team around the players is essential,” said Rositoiu. “Every member of our technical staff plays a crucial role in our daily preparation and our ability to perform at the highest level. We’re ready to attack this second season with the tools we need to continue progressing and competing.”
Technical Staff
The club welcomes two new strength and conditioning coaches, Athanasio Destounis and Yianni Kyriacou, both from the UQAM Citadins program. Destounis brings over 20 years of experience in applied sport science, while Kyriacou contributes expertise gained internationally.
Gaspard Beaudoin (Analyst) and Christine Thériault-Loranger (Head Physiotherapist) return for a second season. Maude Gohier joins the team as Assistant Physiotherapist.
The club also announces two internal promotions. Mathilde Lefebvre Lalande, Equipment Manager in 2025, becomes Team Manager. Maude Desnoyers has been promoted to Equipment Manager.
The Roses’ training camp continues at Centre sportif Bois-de-Boulogne. The club will host the Vancouver Rise on May 2nd to open its home season. Season tickets are available now for as low as $21 per game. en.rosesmtl.ca/tickets
