13 HOME MATCHES AWAIT SUPPORTERS AT A TRANSFORMED STADE BORÉALE

Montreal, February 5, 2026 - The Montréal Roses today announced its 2026 Northern Super League schedule, featuring 25 matches across a six-month campaign that kicks off April 25 in Calgary and concludes October 23 at Stade Boréale against Ottawa Rapid FC.

The Roses will play 13 home matches at Stade Boréale, Canada’s first soccer-specific professional women’s stadium, with games spread across four different days of the week to accommodate a variety of supporter schedules.

The home campaign opens Saturday, May 2 against Vancouver Rise FC, the reigning NSL champions. The match marks midfielder Lisa Pechersky’s first game at Stade Boréale against her former club after helping Vancouver capture the inaugural NSL title last November. Pechersky, who started 26 of 27 matches for Vancouver in 2025, joined the Roses in January.

“We listened to our fans when building this schedule,” said Annie Larouche, President of the Montréal Roses. “Offering matches on Saturdays, Sundays, Thursdays and Fridays gives our supporters flexibility to experience professional women’s soccer at Stade Boréale. Combined with the stadium improvements we’ve made, the matchday entertainment we have planned, and a roster ready to compete with any team in the NSL, we’re confident 2026 will deliver an exceptional experience for our community.”

Key Matchups

The schedule features five meetings with Ottawa Rapid FC, home to 2025 NSL Player of the Year and Golden Boot winner DB Pridham, whose 18 goals led the league. An energized Roses attack will complement the league-best defence that conceded just 23 goals last season.

Montréal welcomes AFC Toronto to Stade Boréale on July 23 and September 10 after falling to the eventual finalists on aggregate in last year’s playoffs. Toronto opens its 2026 campaign by hosting Vancouver on April 24 in a rematch of the 2025 NSL Final.

The Roses face Vancouver three times at home, providing multiple opportunities for fans to witness Pechersky’s reunion with her championship-winning former teammates.

Schedule Breakdown

The 2026 campaign features home matches on four Saturdays, three Sundays, three Thursdays, and three Fridays. Road trips include visits to all five league opponents, with four matches against Calgary and Vancouver on the West Coast.

An Enhanced Matchday Experience

Stade Boréale has undergone significant improvements ahead of the 2026 season to elevate the supporter experience.

A new elevated platform behind the west sideline will house private boxes and a dedicated press gallery, while the video screen has been relocated behind the north goal for improved sightlines throughout the stadium.

Additional individual seating has been installed behind the players’ benches, and expanded seating now lines the east side.

A Stronger Roster

Building on a fourth-place finish and the league’s stingiest defence in 2025, the Roses have bolstered their squad for the new campaign. In addition to Pechersky, the club has signed Korean international Hanbin Choi, Ghanaian midfielder Evelyn Badu, and American forward Elyse Bennett.

The Roses also exercised contract options for Charlotte Bilbault, Anne-Marie Laroche, and Julia Leas following the 2025 season, while Hailey Whitaker has agreed to a new contract.
