16-YEAR-OLD MARILOU HARVEY SIGNS YOUTH DEVELOPMENTAL CONTRACT WITH THE CLUB

Montreal, February 15, 2026 - The Montréal Roses today unveiled their 23-player roster ahead of the 2026 training camp, which opens Monday at Centre sportif Bois-de-Boulogne. The club also confirmed the signing of 16-year-old forward Marilou Harvey, who becomes the youngest player in club history.

Born in 2009, Harvey has quickly emerged as one of the most promising prospects of her generation in Quebec. A product of the Estrie development system, she won a gold medal at the U15 Canadian Championship with CS St-Hubert.

Harvey was also named Golden Ball winner as the top player in the Québec Development League at the U15 level. She went on to finish among the top five scorers in the PLSJQ during both of her seasons with the St-Hubert Spatial (U16 and U17).

Last summer, Harvey represented Team Quebec at the 2025 Canada Games in St. John’s, helping the team capture a silver medal as the youngest player on the provincial roster.

Harvey will wear number 21 for the Roses.

A Strengthened Roster

In addition to Harvey, the Roses completed four other signings this off-season to bolster a squad that posted the Northern Super League’s best defensive record in 2025 (23 goals conceded). Midfielder Lisa Pechersky (#10), who started 26 of 27 matches for Vancouver en route to the inaugural NSL title, brings experience and playmaking ability. South Korean winger Hanbin Choi (#17), Ghanaian international midfielder Evelyn Badu (#13), and American forward Elyse Bennett (#9) complete an ambitious recruitment drive.

“We worked tirelessly this off-season to build a roster capable of competing with every team in the league,” said Marinette Pichon, Sporting Director of the Montréal Roses. “The core group that carried our inaugural season is almost intact, and we’ve added profiles that will elevate our attacking play. Marilou’s signing also shows that the Roses are a club where young Quebec talent can develop at the highest level. We enter this training camp with a lot of ambition.”

Training Camp Notes

Chaerim Kang (#11) will join camp at a later date after being called up by South Korea for the AFC Asian Cup, as announced by the club on February 12. Evelyn Badu (#13) has been named to the provisional roster for the Ghana Women’s National Team ahead of the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). She will join the Roses’ training camp following the conclusion of her international commitments.

Throughout camp, the club will welcome players from the university circuit and Ligue1 Québec as part of its commitment to developing women’s soccer in Quebec.
