Montréal Roses Sporting Director Marinette Pichon announced today that Robert Rositoiu has been relieved of his duties as head coach.

To ensure a seamless transition, Maryse Bard-Martel has been named interim head coach. She will take charge of the team starting this Sunday against AFC Toronto and will remain in the role until a permanent head coach is appointed.

Appointed in September 2024, Rositoiu etched his name in franchise history as the club’s inaugural head coach. Under his leadership during the 2025 inaugural campaign, the Roses enjoyed a memorable debut run, advancing to the playoff semifinals.

“Robert has left an indelible mark on this club by guiding us through our foundational first steps,” said Marinette Pichon. “He established a competitive culture and played a pivotal role in the development of many of our players. Relieving a coach of their duties is always an agonizing decision, and this choice was made with the upmost respect for Robert as both a person and a professional. However, we firmly believe a new spark is required to propel the club through the remainder of the season and take the next step in our growth as a franchise. On behalf of the entire organization, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Robert and wish him every success in his future endeavors.”

The Roses currently hold an 8-4-3 record, standing second in the Northern Super League table with 27 points, with ten matches remaining in the regular season.
