THE CLUB CLAIMS ITS FIRST TROPHY IN FRONT OF HOME SUPPORTERS AT STADE BORÉALE
The Montréal Roses are the 2026 Northern Super League regular-season winners. By securing the necessary points against Ottawa Rapid FC at Stade Boréale, Montreal officially claims the NSL Supporters’ Shield in only their second season, capturing the first trophy in club history.
Culminating a consistent campaign built on an impressive unbeaten run, the Roses finish at the top of the table with 45 points. The Roses succeed AFC Toronto and become the second team to etch their name on the Supporters’ Shield since the league’s inception. The title grants them the top seed for the playoffs, along with the right to host the second leg of their semi-final at home.
“This is a landmark moment for the Montréal Roses, for our community and for everyone across Montréal,” said Hugues Léger, President of the Montréal Roses. “Claiming this first regular-season title speaks to the strength of our foundations and to the ambition that has driven us since the franchise was launched. This success belongs to everyone who brings Stade Boréale to life. It is a moment of immense pride to celebrate this historic first trophy together tonight before turning our full focus on the playoffs. Today we are proud, but are now fully focused on the playoffs.”
“Winning this Supporters’ Shield was a clear objective from the first day of preseason,” added Marinette Pichon, Sporting Director of the Montréal Roses. “The team’s trajectory between our first and second seasons speaks to the rigorous work done at every level, from our technical staff through the entire organization. The strategic adjustments and the key signings made this year with my assistant Adrien Moufflet strengthened our squad and brought the maturity needed to come through a demanding schedule. I am extremely proud of this group, of our staff, and of the consistency the players showed week after week.”
The Roses will reunite with their supporters for the second leg of their semi-final on November 8 at Stade Boréale. Fans can secure their seats now by visiting en.rosesmtl.ca/tickets.
