A defensive anchor with international experience, Olivia MBala joins the Montréal Roses with a decade of professional play in France under her belt. She arrives from Lille OSC, where she established herself as a reliable, consistent, and influential player, with over 100 professional appearances across the top two tiers of French soccer.
Originally from Scarborough, Toronto, MBala took her first steps into elite soccer at age 18 with the Canadian national program. Her university career began with the UNC Tar Heels and continued with the FAU Owls, before she made the leap to Europe. She went on to play for Grenoble, Rodez, and Saint-Malo in France, as well as Unionville Milliken back in Canada, before making her mark in Lille.
Off the field, Olivia is known for her commitment to the community and her passion for giving back to the sport. Bilingual and deeply rooted in a soccer-loving family culture, she exemplifies professionalism, discipline, and generosity, all qualities that align perfectly with the Roses' identity.
Her return to Canada is both symbolic and strategic for the team. She will wear number 24 in this inaugural season of a league buzzing with energy and ready to make her presence felt both through her voice and her game.
