Hanbin Choi is a dynamic, left-footed winger who joins the Montréal Roses on her first professional contract after establishing herself as one of the most prolific scorers in Korean university football.

Born in Seoul, Hanbin developed through the Korean school football system, attending Seoul Oju Middle School before moving to Gwangyang Jeonnam Girl’s High School.

Hanbin enrolled at Korea University in 2023, where she quickly emerged as a dominant attacking force. She won two consecutive Golden Boot awards across university competitions in 2024 before being named the 2024 DEVELON Korea Women’s Football Awards Golden Boot of the Year – the top individual scoring honour in Korean university women’s football. In 2025, she led Korea University to back-to-back Yeowanggi National Championship titles and was named Player of the Year at the Spring Korea Women’s Football Federation Cup. She capped off her university career by being named Outstanding Player at the 2025 Korea Women’s Football Federation Awards.

Despite never having played professionally, Hanbin's performances earned her a call-up to the South Korean senior national team for the 2025 Pink Ladies Cup in the UAE, where she earned two caps. She had previously represented South Korea at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, appearing in four matches as the team reached the Round of 16.
